Computing for Seniors: Troubleshooting Guide

1. Computer Won’t Turn On

Problem: Pressing the power button does nothing.
Solution:
Check if the computer is plugged in properly.
Try another power outlet.
If using a laptop, ensure the battery is charged.
Press & hold the power button for 10 seconds, then try again.
Check if the monitor is turned on (for desktops).


2. Computer Running Slow

Problem: Everything takes too long to load.
